With the new year comes a shot to make a new beginning in the office. We recently just learned about that the second Monday in January is National Clean Off Your Desk Day. With origins unknown, but celebrated for practical reasons, we and others view this day as a gift. A way to begin the new year with a fresh outlook. This is accomplished with an organized space.
Here at Accessibility Partners, we don’t have just one office. Our staff teleworks and makes their office space their own, with assistive technology and other accommodations. From home office to client site to co-work site, Accessibility Partners exemplifies the mantra that work is something you do, not somewhere you go. Yet, some of us experience the occasional clutter.
Below are a few pictures of some of our offices. A little messy, but we’re hoping to get some better after pictures. The offices include a few pieces of assistive technology, like augmented input devices, computers with magnifiers and screen reading software, ergonomic chairs, modified keyboards and mice, and speech recognition software, spanning a variety of manufacturers. Having a strong Bring Your Own Device or BYOD policy allows our staff to pick the best technical solution that works for them. It’s all about being productive, and hopefully after we do some desk tidying, we’ll be even more so!
